Application form
So how do you make your application stand out from all the rest? They’re screened quickly so make sure yours is presentable and complete. Don’t cut and paste, and check your grammar and spelling. In Education and Qualifications, highlight anything that’s relevant. Mention all your work experience – voluntary is great too, and says something about you. Use the Other Information section to contribute to your skills profile, which you’ll hopefully have gained through some great non-academic activities during your time at University. Interview
The first way you shine at a job interview is by knowing about the company and its competition, so don’t be shy about researching Enterprise (follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook), including the recruiter doing the interview. Industry knowledge always comes across well. Next, prepare questions because they show you’re interested. Think about ways you can demonstrate you have the competences we’re after, perhaps citing your work experience or a project at university. Above all, remember to be positive and enthusiastic. Branch interview
The best way to understand what goes on in an Enterprise branch is to visit one and try it out. Here’s where you get to meet the team and even get out there and talk to customers. Be willing and interested and involved. Ask a lot of questions (people will be happy to answer them for you). Assessment day
You’ve made it to the final stage which is an achievement in itself. But what happens at an assessment centre and how can you make the most of it? Throughout the day the assessors will be looking for examples of customer service, sales, leadership, work ethic, flexibility and communication from you, and those will help you stand out. Possibly the best advice for a good assessment centre is to make sure everyone knows who you are because you got involved, asked questions and interacted even in the breaks.
