By undertaking a Level 3 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) qualification over a three-year period, your learning journey will continue as you progress through our comprehensive training and development plan, ultimately reaching the level of Master Technician.
You will be responsible for a range of general vehicle maintenance duties, including MOT preparation, servicing, repairs, handling breakdowns, and performing preventative maintenance inspections on both light and heavy vehicles.
Technicians support Workshop Managers by repairing vehicles and assisting with managerial tasks as needed. This role not only ensures the smooth operation of the workshop but also prepares Technicians for future advancement within the business.
The Lead Technician / Workshop Manager oversees the workshop's operations, staff, resources, and inventory to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality. Responsibilities include managing daily tasks, conducting appraisals, maintaining records, controlling stock, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will be based in an assigned region, where you will manage the engineering team, drive workshop productivity and efficiency, and travel to various sites, working closely with Area Managers.
