We believe that if a company takes care of their customers and employees first, growth and profits will follow. This approach has helped us and our female employees to develop a career that takes them where they want to go. We know that a diverse workforce is key to fostering new ways of thinking, building customer loyalty and growing our business, and potential employees know it too. That’s why we’ve been voted as one of the Top 50 Employers Where Women Want To Work for 9 years in a row.
This month Enterprise featured in the Where Women Work magazine, with a spotlight on the type of roles we offer, and what life is like for women currently working at Enterprise.
In the past we’ve held events such as the Women in Leadership conference, networking sessions and female focus groups, celebrating successful women within the business and promoting the professional and personal development of our staff. As well as our events, mentoring programs and support networks, we also commit 25% of our yearly training budget specifically to diversity. And the results have been worth it. Since 2010 there has been an increase of 20% in the number of women recruited, and in 2013 almost half of our new recruits were women, in what is traditionally a male-dominated industry.
It’s always been important for us to develop a work culture which promotes the value of our female employees. Employees such as our CEO Pam Nicholson, who has been included in Fortune Magazine as one of the ’50 Most Powerful Women in Business’. Or Rovaida Ramzan, who joined Enterprise as a Management Trainee in 2007 and progressed through various branches and more senior roles. We supported Rovaida as she left her home town to move to London and take on an Area Manager position.
We want to create more success stories throughout the business, from the branches to the boardroom. So if you want to be part of a company that has made a true commitment to recruiting, developing and retaining the best female talent, then have a look at our latest opportunities and see where we can take you.
