How we care about our candidates

For the second year running, we are proud to have been presented the Candidate Experience Award.

We place a huge emphasis on ensuring everyone who is interested in joining Enterprise has a positive and engaging recruitment experience. Hearing this positive feedback directly from job candidates around the world confirms our efforts in this area are being well-received.

Regardless of whether we hire or not, by making each experience a positive one, we know we are helping everyone improve their professional acumen. We know that, in the future, anybody who doesn’t make it the first time can come back when they are ready and apply stronger. So, how do we do it?

1. Simplified job application process

We strive to make our application process as simple and transparent as possible. That way, you get to show off all of your talents and prove to us exactly how awesome a team member you’re going to be.

There are four main steps for you to take. Here’s a little more about each:

  • Application form

The first step is our online application process, which takes about 30 minutes to complete. As well as telling us lots about you, it helps you exhibit the kind of competencies we look for in our management trainees.

Best of all, our dedicated rapid response teams mean you can expect to hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application online.

  • Meet a recruiter

If your application is successful, you’ll hear from one of our recruiters in person. They’ll arrange to meet with you and tell you more about joining Enterprise as a management trainee.

  • Visit a branch

To help you get to know us a little more, we’ll invite you to visit one of our branches. It’s a great chance to meet some of our people and have an interview with the branch manager.

  • Assessment day

Finally, you will be invited to one of our assessment days. This really is your chance to shine. Over the course of the day, you’ll tackle a number of exercises designed around life at Enterprise. Don’t worry – it’s not too formal and most of our applicants agree it’s a great way to experience being a management trainee.

2. Accurate job descriptions

Our website openly highlights the kind of roles we offer, our company culture, and the working environment you’ll be enjoying when you arrive. Make sure you take a good look around and find out why we’ve been named as 2016’s Graduate Employer of the Year by Target Jobs.

3. Communication is key

Communication is the key to shaping the candidate experience. At Enterprise we don’t outsource our recruitment process and all of our recruiters started on the Management Trainee career path, just like you will.

We understand the time and effort you put into the recruitment process – because we’ve been through exactly the same thing. Throughout the process, our candidates are kept informed on how their application is progressing and are always aware of what the next stage in the process is.

When bringing in new talent, we pay ultimate care and attention every step of the way. For you and for us, it’s important we get it right. After all, your successful hire is the beginning of a relationship we’ll both be enjoying for a long time to come.
